MRSA is metycilin resistent staphylococcus aureus, meaning that
the bacteria SA is resistant to the antibiotic metycilin(I think I
wrote the name correct)
MRSA is Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus . It is a
bacterial infection caused by a strain of Staph aureus which are
resistant to most antibiotics and thus difficult to eradicate. It
emerged in 1961 after Methicillin was used to treat this infection.
It is now one of the most common Hospital acquired infections.
